Cordless power tools such as drills etc may need regular re-charging if they are in constant use or even overnight recharging between jobs.  If the temperature within the battery gets too high, the lithium-ion cells can get damaged, and won’t hold as much charge which in turn means more frequent charging and an increased fire risk.
